Texas Hold'em Poker Rules in One Article

Texas Hold'em is a popular poker game that has attracted countless players with its feature of being easy to learn but difficult to master. Unlike traditional poker games, the core of Texas Hold'em lies in the game between players, not just the cards in hand.

Game Objective

The objective of Texas Hold'em is simple: win all the Chips on the table. You achieve this in two ways:

  1. Have the best hand: When Showdown, your hand is the best among the players at the table.
  2. Make all opponents Fold: In any betting round, if your bet makes all other players choose Fold, you can directly win Pot without showing your hand.

Game Overview

The game is usually played by 2 to 10 players using a standard 52-card deck. Each game goes through the following main stages:

  1. Blinds (Blinds):Players in fixed positions need to put in " Blinds " before the deal, which is the only mandatory bet before the game starts, used to form the initial Pot .
  2. Dealing (Pre-flop):Each player is dealt two " Hole Cards " that only they can see.
  3. Pre-flop Bet (Pre-flop Betting Round):Players make the first round of bets based on their Hole Cards . You can choose Call (put in the same Chips as the previous player), Raise (put in more Chips ) or Fold (give up this round of the game).
  4. Flop:The dealer deals three Community Cards in the center of the table, and all players can use these Community Cards to form their hands.
  5. Flop Betting Round:All players still in the game make the second round of bets.
  6. Turn:The dealer deals the fourth Community Cards .
  7. Turn Betting Round:All players still in the game make the third round of bets.
  8. River:The dealer deals the fifth and final Community Cards .
  9. River Betting Round:All players still in the game make the final round of bets.
  10. Showdown (Showdown):If there are two or more players remaining in the game after multiple rounds of betting, they need to show their Hole Cards , and combine them with the five Community Cards to form the best five-card combination. The player with the highest card combination wins the Pot .

Strategy and Psychology

Poker is fascinating not only because of the card combinations, but also because of the observation of opponents, psychological battles, and risk management. You need to continuously improve in the following aspects:

  1. Importance of Position: Your position at the table greatly affects your decisions.
  2. Reading Hands: Determine the strength of your opponents' hands by observing their betting patterns, expressions, and habits.
  3. Bluff: When you have a weak hand, bet to mislead your opponents into thinking you have a strong hand and Fold.
  4. Bankroll Management: Allocate Chips properly to avoid being eliminated too early.

Poker is not just a game, it's a mental battle between people. Every bet is full of strategy, and every Fold may contain careful consideration.

How to use AI Hand Review to improve decision-making rationality

Pokémon as a highly strategic mental sport requires players to continuously learn and review their games to make decisions closer to long-term EV+ and improve the stability of their performance.

MTT Sports provides the 【AI Hand Review】 function, which helps players verify whether their actions conform to the GTO (Game Theory Optimal) standard from their own perspective.

How to enable the [AI Hand Review] feature?

Click the [My Game] button on the table, and we can view each hand in this event.

Find the icon button in the hand record. After clicking the button, the AI will determine whether each action is reasonable according to the four stages of the hand (Pre-flop/Flop/Turn/River), based on our position, hand, and chip stack.

It should be noted that the AI's analysis is based only on the information visible to the player at the moment. If this hand is not revealed, the AI will not display the HoleCards information of other players.

How to make the most of the AI Hand Review feature?

To enable more in-depth analysis, we can proactively provide additional information to the AI and ask further questions. This can help us better understand the differences in optimal strategies under different conditions.

For example, we can:

  1. Supplement the difference in chip counts between both sides, allowing the AI to simulate the best actions under different chip depths
  2. Supplement opponent data (such as VPIP, WTSD, W$SD), and ask if your actions are reasonable under this style
  3. Set your position (e.g., UTG/CO/BTN), and check if this action is still correct under different positions
  4. Ask "If changed to Check/Bet/Raise, which has a higher EV?" to compare the expected values of different decisions

Additionally, if you want to conduct a deeper review after the game, you can click on the ⭐ favorite hand in the hand record. After the game, go to 【Marked Hands】, we can watch the complete video of this hand, and use the AI analysis tool to sort out personal learning records, etc.

By continuously discussing with AI, conducting assumption tests and self-verification, we can reduce emotional decisions, lower errors, improve long-term profitability stability, and build our own strategy system.
